EDU 130 -- Excel

For my Excel Spreadsheet idea, I would incorporate a basic English/Grammar lesson. First, I would do a lesson on the uses of different punctuations such as commas, quotations, semi-colons, etc. I would go into detail about each punctuation: What purpose it serves, when it is most appropriately used, common misconceptions, and an example or two of proper usage. So for my students, I would give them a list of about 10 different punctuations. I would have them do research on each symbol and refer back to the notes they took/handouts given during my lesson to create this spreadsheet. Then I would have them make a chart of the functions, examples, definitions, and FAQ for each different punctuation. I think charts like this would really help to solidify the students’ understanding of the material and it gives them an organized document they could always refer back to during a writing assignment.
